Snakes on the Plane Review

Wed, 30 Aug 2006

If you are a high powered Hollywood movie moghul and you are pitched for a brand new horror action cum thriller. And what is it about snakes on a plane. The stars are snakes, and they are on a plane and the name of the film is of course 'Snakes On A Plane'.

It is so straightforward that and so lacking in taste, it must be good. This is the film that Hollywood has been awaiting.

The entire plot is a bit more sophisticated yet pretty simple by anyone's standards. On a transatlantic flight, an assassin who is intent on killing a passenger, a witness in protective custody, empties a crate full of deadly snakes.

Many passengers of course get killed or injured, including a Los Angeles party-girl, a happening rap star as well as flirtatious cabin crew.

The motley group have to band together or die. There is of course only one man can save the plane and guess who, it is FBI agent Nelville Flynn, played by actor Samuel L. Jackson .

Prior to the film's release, the internet was buzzing away. We now see an array of poster designs, fake trailers as well as a theme tune for the film. A Google search on the film title throws up 3.5 plus. 'Star Wars' prequels have only seen such cyberspace hype.
