Hasbro, the toy giant, has dumped plans to launch dolls of pop band the Pussycat Dolls, following protests by angry parents.
The likenesses of the Dolls were about to go into production.
The pop band are extremely popular with teenagers, however, for conservative parents the girls are too sexy and their lyrics too racy for youngsters.
So Hasbro agreed to call it a day yesterday.
The toy manufacturer's statement read: "Interscope's (record label) current creative direction and images for the recording group are focused on a much older target than we had anticipated at the time of our original discussions, thereby making a doll line inappropriate for Hasbro."
The president of family group Dads And Daughters, claimed that their campaign worked to persuade Hasbro bosses to pull the range of dolls by asking them to imagine encouraging their own young daughters to copy such "unhealthy behaviour".
