Madonna is to go on the Oprah Winfrey Show tomorrow to defend her adoption of a Malawian boy child.
The undoubted queen of pop is recording the interview with the undisputed queen of daytime tv today.
This interview will give her the first opportunity to publicly defend her decision to bring up David Banda, who is living with the star already, after a Malawian judge gave Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie his temporary custody.
Last week in an open letter last week, Madonna asserted that she and her husband had behaved "according to the law like anyone else who adopts a child". They categorically refute claims that they flouted any laws.
They dispute claims by a Malawian human rights groups that the couple celebtrity status had enabled them to by-pass Malawi's normal adoption laws. Madonna stoically describes the allegation as "totally inaccurate".
The boy's father has shed doubt the intended adoption by stating that he was not aware that Madonna wished to fully adopt his son .
He told a news agency that he was not aware that this adoption means that David would no longer be his son. He would prefer to have his son in the orphanage where he could see his son anytime he likes.
