Some minds are like ice: solid, static
and cold. To such minds, life
consists of eating, drinking, sleeping, existing and dying. There is
no understanding of Nature, no ability to see Nature in its glory.
There is no development in any sphere of life. People who have such
minds do not become mystics, philosophers, poets, business people,
scientists or leaders.
They don't have the ability to appreciate nature and what lies behind
it. They have not even tried to understand themselves, let alone the
animal and plant Kingdoms.
Other minds are like liquid water, partially developed. However,
the development of such minds, like water, is confined. Nonetheless,
such minds have some mobility; such minds only partially understand
and appreciate whichever way they flow.
These minds have limited compassion and generosity, being unable
to reach Divine heights. However, it is worthwhile remembering that
if water is subjected to heat, its mobility increases and it becomes
gaseous.
Some human beings' minds are like solid ice, like those of animals.
Other human beings' minds have melted. A Mind that has evaporated into
steam and has started raining on everyone and everything is not confined
to any one country, any one culture, any one race or any one world.
Such a mind is that of a mystic, a highly developed human being.
Rivers and streams can flow in one country, perhaps two. Wars can
be started over such rivers when there is a sense of belonging to a
community, or country. However, it is nigh on impossible to capture
a cloud. Clouds do not belong to a community, or country. Clouds are
free, whereas, rivers and streams are confined to given places. Likewise,
minds that develop and become like clouds cannot be said to belong
to any one community, creed, race or country. Such minds view everything
as one and have no sense of duality or separation. Such minds belong
to all.
